Todd Clouser: Music
In from Boston
(Todd Clouser)
I just got in from Boston
And I’m thinking bout heading back
I like the way the streetlights break in morning
The billboard signs and politics
I just got in from Boston
And Ive spent every cent
But there’s a women there I used to know
And Im certain she’d get me back
It’s a great wide world full of simple talk
And I just wanna be a part
Take the subway over the river
Hear the airplanes land at night
I just got in from Boston
And I feel I left my life
I just took off to London
And I’ve got to see the rain
The taxi drivers and police hats
The bridge without a name
I like the way the streets smell
So many ways to dissapear
But if I call your telephone
Know Im begging, your voice I need to hear
It’s a great wide world of running away
And I just wanna leave my part
Carry on be carried on
All is easier to lose than to like
I just got home from London
And Boston is on my mind
I just got in from Boston
And I still see the towers in my mirror
I barely been back at home
And waiting to dissapear
